Suzanne Purcell Psychotherapist
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist, with a BSC (hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am also a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
My aim when working with clients is to build a strong therapeutic relationship, based on empathy and compassion. I believe that exploring past and present experiences in a non-judgmental way allows us to discover more of our real selves, and reduces stress and mental strain in our lives and relationships..
I have experience working with the following:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Emotional Disturbance
- Family Conflict
- Infertility
- Life Transitions
- Parental/Motherhood Related Stress
- Parenting
- Postpartum
- Relationship Issues
- Self Esteem
- Trauma and PTSD
- Women's Issues
- LGBTQI+ related and any other personal issues not listed are welcome.
Individual approach
I work in a humanistic, integrative way, including approaches such as Person-Centred, CBT and Existential Psychotherapy. I believe in the client guiding where each session goes and gaining autonomy and confidence in what they need and want to focus on in therapy as time goes on. As the therapist, I work collaboratively alongside the client and help them to explore, what in their lives and relationships might be troubling them, including the relationship we have with ourselves. I believe that each person can tap into an inner self that guides and protects them and that each person has the resilience within them to face any struggle before them.
Personal consultations
I work one-to-one sessions in Dublin City Centre. Feel free to ask any questions through my email below about what to expect from an initial session with me.
